As a member of the palliative care interdisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in providing first rate palliative care to patients and their families. This will include: • Comprehensive medical evaluation of patients • Symptom management • Involvement and participation in discharge planning and continuity of care • Act as a role model and mentor to junior nurses • provide active support and collaboration with the team. • Continue with professional development through study The qualified candidate will possess: • Broad clinical knowledge • Demonstrated experience and expertise in palliative care • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Post graduate qualification in palliative/cancer care is desirable • A passion for palliative care nursing The Hospital is extremely focused on staff retention and reward.
